Get active at Highland Park. Located in the Highland Park neighborhood, the municipal park of the same name offers a variety of outdoor activities for people of all ages during all seasons. Visit the Pittsburgh Zoo to see the wildlife, learn about the importance of drinking water at the reservoirs, climb up Mount Bigelow or take advantage of the two sand volley ball courts, tennis courts, walking trails, and playgrounds.
Visit the site of the historic Fort Pitt Museum in downtown Pittsburgh. Strategically built at the forks of the Ohio River in 1759 and added onto in 1764, the current two-story museum first opened to the public in 1969.
