Enjoy an intimate dramatic, comedic or musical play at the Pittsburgh Public Theater, a professional theater company dedicated to artistically diverse theatrical entertainment of the highest quality. The audience surrounds the stage on three sides, providing a unique viewing experience. You can find this contemporary theater in the heart of Pittsburgh’s Cultural District.
You may have to drive a bit to get to the Big Butler Fair, but the trip is worth it. One of the largest and best festivals in Western Pennsylvania, Big Butler is a chance to enjoy fireworks, the midway, games, demolition derbies, concerts and truck pulls that are not typically seen in Pittsburgh.
Bikers and hikers will love the Montour Trail. Part of the Great Allegheny Passage that stretches from Pittsburgh to Washington, D.C., this particular section consists of a multi-use non-motorized recreational rail-trail near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. New sections are being added each year, so expect the 40-mile trail to continue growing.
