You may have to drive a bit to get to the Big Butler Fair, but the trip is worth it. One of the largest and best festivals in Western Pennsylvania, Big Butler is a chance to enjoy fireworks, the midway, games, demolition derbies, concerts and truck pulls that are not typically seen in Pittsburgh.
Art aficionados will want to stop by the Carnegie Museum of Art. This museum displays art dating from prehistoric times to the present from all over the world, although it mainly focuses on contemporary American and European works. See the masterpieces of famous artists from the past as well as modern artwork done in new media, like films.
Attack Theatre is known for combining "ninja-like intensity" with their dance-based performances. This theatre troupe presents a variety of traditional and non-traditional entertainment in modern dance, original live music, multimedia and interdisciplinary art forms. See them in their home city or on one of their national and international tours.
