Spend some time exploring the outdoor jewel of Pittsburgh’s North Side. Riverview Park offers an extensive network of trails through its dense woodlands and dramatically steep hills for hikers, joggers, and the occasional horseback ride. If you love history, art or science, you will definitely want to visit the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh. The Carnegie Institute operates the Carnegie Museums, and two of the four facilities can be found alongside the headquarters. Art aficionados will want to stop by the Carnegie Museum of Art. This museum displays art dating from prehistoric times to the present from all over the world, although it mainly focuses on contemporary American and European works. See the masterpieces of famous artists from the past as well as modern artwork done in new media, like films.
