Pittsburgh is a city filled with art and culture, especially theater. The Pittsburgh New Works Festival is dedicated to fostering theatrical productions, specifically original one-act plays. During the four weeks of the festival, different theater companies compete while simultaneously pooling resources together to showcase the city’s artistic talent.
Explore the vivid history and culinary delights of the city with 'Burgh, Bits & Bites. Sample cuisine from some of the best restaurants as you walk through one of these neighborhoods: Strip District Market, Little Italy, Mount Washington, Lawrenceville and Brookline. Or, indulge in a TGIF afternoon tour with wine tasting.
Inspire yourself with the artistic, modern performances of classic American ballets by the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. This local ballet troupe has grown since it debuted in 1970 at the Pittsburgh Playhouse. See one of the seasonal performances from October until April at its own building or catch one of the troupe's touring performances.
