Visit the Cultural District’s newest nightlife hot spot for live entertainment and drinks. The Backstage Bar offers Pittsburghers a fun, classy place to enjoy casual food prepared by award-winning Chef Toni Pais as well as an outstanding list of premium wines, spirits, specialty drinks and beers. The Backstage Bar is open to the public, no tickets required, and often features free performances by local bands.
The Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium is one of America’s finest zoos, and has plenty of attractions and exhibits to keep you and the young ones busy for the day. If you can drag them away from the Kid’s Kingdom, the interactive children’s area filled with petting zoo animals and fun activities, they can see all the lions and tigers and bears, oh my!
Get wild at Idlewild Park and Soak Zone, one of the oldest amusement parks in the country. Take a ride on a "Classic Coaster," travel to the top of the Ferris wheel or test your nerves on the Tilt-A-Whirl. Once you have sampled the traditional amusement park rides, head over to the Soak Zone to cool down with some water recreation during the summer months.
Attack Theatre is known for combining "ninja-like intensity" with their dance-based performances. This theatre troupe presents a variety of traditional and non-traditional entertainment in modern dance, original live music, multimedia and interdisciplinary art forms. See them in their home city or on one of their national and international tours.
