The museum and its surrounding building transformed into a complex dedicated to the art, culture and refinement of the time under the guidance of Helen Clay Frick.
Pittsburgh is a city filled with art and culture, especially theater. The Pittsburgh New Works Festival is dedicated to fostering theatrical productions, specifically original one-act plays. During the four weeks of the festival, different theater companies compete while simultaneously pooling resources together to showcase the city’s artistic talent.
See the stars, or at least a place where they study the stars, at the University of Pittsburgh’s Allegheny Observatory. This national historic landmark has been a vital part of American astronomical research since 1859. Nowadays, the Allegheny Observatory is open to free public tours from April until the end of October.
