Visit the site of the historic Fort Pitt Museum in downtown Pittsburgh. Strategically built at the forks of the Ohio River in 1759 and added onto in 1764, the current two-story museum first opened to the public in 1969. Be prepared for an intense hiking experience as you start the Baker Trail. The trail originally extended from Aspinwall to Cook Forest State Park but has recently been expanded to include Allegheny National Forest.
