Get active at Highland Park. Located in the Highland Park neighborhood, the municipal park of the same name offers a variety of outdoor activities for people of all ages during all seasons. Visit the Pittsburgh Zoo to see the wildlife, learn about the importance of drinking water at the reservoirs, climb up Mount Bigelow or take advantage of the two sand volley ball courts, tennis courts, walking trails, and playgrounds.
Built in 1889 as the Carnegie Musical Hall, the current New Hazlett Theater is not only a historical landmark but also an enthusiastic host to many local theater performances. Up to 500 audience members can take in any of the diverse live theatrical productions, dance performances and music events that are held in this entertainment space.
