H Street Country Club offers an average golfing experience but includes a bit of built-in challenges. The course itself isn't quite evenly maintained and there is the issue of airplane noise due to its location, but overall it offers nice views of the city and the staff is friendly. The Veterans Day Ceremony held every November draws veterans in record numbers to solemnly commemorate their fallen comrades during this highly patriotic ceremony. The President is often in attendance as well as several other political and military leaders. The ceremony is held in the amphitheater built around the Tomb of the Unknowns. Among the highly emotional parts of the ceremony are musical tributes, keynote speeches and the laying of wreaths.
