The East Tennessee History Center has both a broad and personal scope when it comes to history. On a larger scale, the museum contains various pieces and exhibits that tell the story of various aspects of the region. The museum is maintained by the East Tennessee Historical Society and the group has done an incredible job of recreating early 20th century life with an interesting collection of exhibits. History then becomes personal as the center also offers a genealogy research library where you can trace your own history to see how it may be connected to previous residents of Knoxville and its surrounding areas.

Knoxville's Bennett Galleries has been consistently voted the city's favorite art gallery. The enterprise was established in 1976 as a custom frame shop and it evolved into a place where artists could express themselves both on canvas as well as in the areas of interior design and even jewelry creation. All of these spheres are seamlessly combined, as Bennett Galleries not only secures some of the area's most impressive art, they also can turn a room in your house into a work of art, too.

Sevierville is home to some of the most amazing caverns in the state. Visit underground to see these awe-inspiring caves, grottoes and streams. Forbidden Caverns is famous for its numerous calcite formations as well as a huge wall of dripstones which are said to be one of the biggest in the world.
