For a touch of art integrated into the beauty of nature, visit the Crystal Shrine Grotto. This man-made cave is located inside Memorial Park Cemetery and features the work of Mexican folk artist Dionicio Rodriquez. Ten scenes depict the life of Jesus Christ, but even non-Christians will appreciate the beautiful art and the peaceful ambiance of this grotto.

Go on a water recreation adventure with Ghost River Canoe and Kayak Rentals. Follow the well-marked canoe trail in the Wolf River. This 8.5-mile trail includes many turns, beautiful cypress, wildlife sightings, a trip through Spirit Lake and the mystic Ghost Section. Located about half an hour outside of Memphis, this part of the river is great for more experienced paddlers but not recommended for beginners.

Grab a cup of joe at one of Memphis' oldest and most celebrated coffeehouses. Java Cabana, located in the Cooper-Young neighborhood, serves some of the finest beverages in Memphis. Sip on some organic, fair trade coffee or tea as you share a delicious desert. Let the live music or poetry readings set a romantic background atmosphere.
