Hattiloo Theatre is a Black repertory theatre company that is dedicated to developing a Black theater that is accessible to, relevant to, and reflective of a multicultural community. The theater stages at least seven major productions and about six special performances authored by Black writers each entertainment season.

Go Tigers! Go! Get ramped up for the University of Memphis Tigers. The Memphis Tigers consist of nine women's sports teams and nine men's, including baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, rifle, soccer, tennis, track and field and volleyball. Wear blue and grey, and come out to support the local college sports teams.

One of the original shops on Beale Street, A. Schwab's is an old-fashioned dry goods store that also sells voodoo paraphernalia. This shop contains every item imaginable in its football field sized building. Browse through the hundreds of unique specialty items and souvenirs.

Party away the month of May. Join residents as they celebrate Memphis in May, a month-long festival featuring four main events: the Beale Street Music Festival, International Week, the World Championship Barbeque Cooking Contest and the Sunset Symphony.
