Hattiloo Theatre is a Black repertory theatre company that is dedicated to developing a Black theater that is accessible to, relevant to, and reflective of a multicultural community. The theater stages at least seven major productions and about six special performances authored by Black writers each entertainment season.

Stretch your legs at the Lichterman Nature Center. With over 65 acres of land filled with lakes, meadows and forests, the Lichterman Nature Center is a natural oasis in the urban landscape. The indoor and outdoor facilities feature wildlife, microscopic discoveries, a two-story forest boardwalk and an underwater viewing area.

Whether you are an experienced rider or have never been on a horse before, Shelby Farms Stables can bring out your inner horse whisperer. Join a guided tour through the woods behind Beaver Lake. These hour-long trail rides are fun for the whole family. Those more serious about riding can also take riding lessons at the stables.

Long live the King! Visit Graceland, the mansion and estate of Rock ‘n Roll legend Elvis Presley. This white columned mansion currently serves as a museum, and offers visitors the chance to get a glimpse of how the King of Rock ‘n Roll lived after his rise to fame. Take a narrated tour as you sneak a peak at the Jungle Room, the Music Room and the car museum/garage.  Elvis Week in August is the perfect time to dust off your blue suede shoes, coif your hair and don your best white suit. Located across from Graceland mansion, this festival features recorded music from the legend himself, as well as performances by a variety of Elvis impersonators.
