Listen to a performance in an outdoor setting at the Handy Park Amphitheater during the evenings. Handy Park is located downtown on famous Beale Street. This beautiful park has plenty of space on the lawn and between the trees to spread out a blanket as you take in the music of different bands, from blues to rock.

Catch a local band playing at the Hi-Tone Cafe. Listen to rock and indie at one of the tables, or get up and get down on the dance floor. Hungry? This little nightlife venue serves up a mean pizza in addition to some great brews. Play some pool or even ping pong in between band sets.

Party away the month of May. Join residents as they celebrate Memphis in May, a month-long festival featuring four main events: the Beale Street Music Festival, International Week, the World Championship Barbeque Cooking Contest and the Sunset Symphony. Although the Wolf River Conservancy is continuing to develop the greenway, parts of the Wolf River Greenway are already open to the public. Located along the gorgeous Wolf River floodplain, this greenway winds its way through the undisturbed forest and along the largely unspoiled river.
