The zoo is home to a number of big cats, primates and other African plains mammals, as well as a variety of reptiles, farm animals and exotic creatures from all over the globe. Take the family to an animal attraction or show, such as the Sea Lions or Animals of the Night, or feed the birds at the Birds & Bees house.

See the Memphis Grizzlies roar at the FedExForum. Part of the NBA, the Grizzlies represent the only major North American Sports League in Memphis. This newly competitive sports team promises a fun game for fans. Deck yourself out in Beale Street Blue and Grizzlies Gold, and bare your claws for these bears!

For a touch of art integrated into the beauty of nature, visit the Crystal Shrine Grotto. This man-made cave is located inside Memorial Park Cemetery and features the work of Mexican folk artist Dionicio Rodriquez. Ten scenes depict the life of Jesus Christ, but even non-Christians will appreciate the beautiful art and the peaceful ambiance of this grotto.
