If you love the theater but hate the crowds, you'll absolutely love taking in a performance at Theatre Arlington. This venue offers highly personal theatrical experience, as there are only 200 seats in this quaint little theater that make every performance an intimate affair. On-stage entertainment ranges from excellent family fare to provocative adults-only productions, but either way, you won't miss a minute of the drama that will unfold right before your eyes.

Arlington's Upstairs Gallery has maintained an impressive forty-year tradition of featuring the work of Arlington-area artists as well as the work of artisans from the surrounding metro-plex. That scope has produced a truly unique collection of work, from the traditional to the modern, presented in various mediums. The gallery also encourages budding artists to follow their muse by offering classes for kids, teenagers and adults over the course of the year.

Arlington's Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Celebration takes place every January. There are plenty of activities planned at this festival, as well as live music, artwork from area students, and invited speakers that all pay homage to the life and mission of Dr. King. There is also an essay and artwork contest held in conjunction with the festivities.
