It is a constantly interesting and invariably diverse mix of University of Texas Arlington students, "regulars" and interesting characters and always a go-to spot for many and waiting for you tonight. Showdown often runs specials such as the Happy Minutes, UTA Day and the Mug Club and that is in addition to the already great prices. They also have a bar-style menu that will do the trick when you need a late, fried up snack, free peanuts, pool tables, a great jukebox and good music and even a place where you can do your laundry. Drive on by and experience the dive/biker feel, a welcoming outside covered area and all in all a good hole-in-the-wall bar. 

Skating is a great way to get some exercise while having a lot of fun with a date, or the whole family. This is an enjoyable experience, no matter what the skill level is. Arlington Skatium offers a friendly and safe recreation environment in which to skate (or learn how). Skate rental is available as well as a rest area and a place to enjoy some concessions before you get back out on the rink for more fun.

Enter the Arlington Bass Classic in April for grand prizes and drawings. Contestants may fish anywhere on tournament waters available to the public and accessible by boat, except areas posted or otherwise designated as off-limits. Kayak and shore fishing are allowed, registered as individual competitors. Only artificial lures may be used for fishing. No live bait is permitted. Only 1 rod at a time, per fisherman may be used.
