Arlington's Upstairs Gallery has maintained an impressive forty-year tradition of featuring the work of Arlington-area artists as well as the work of artisans from the surrounding metro-plex. Showdown often runs specials such as the Happy Minutes, UTA Day and the Mug Club and that is in addition to the already great prices. They also have a bar-style menu that will do the trick when you need a late, fried up snack, free peanuts, pool tables, a great jukebox and good music and even a place where you can do your laundry. If you've got a future scientist in the family, or even if you and your brood just love stargazing, then a trip to the Planetarium at UT Arlington will prove to be the perfect intergalactic adventure. The out-of-this-world tool makes it possible to get an unbelievably close view of various stars and planets through their highly-powered telescope that is projected onscreen in the 165-seat viewing area. Also, the dome animation show is absolutely stunning. The Planetarium at UT Arlington does an excellent job of bringing the adventure of outer space up close for you and your family to discover and learn.
