Arlington's Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Celebration takes place every January. There are plenty of activities planned at this festival, as well as live music, artwork from area students, and invited speakers that all pay homage to the life and mission of Dr. King. There is also an essay and artwork contest held in conjunction with the festivities.

Amaze yourself as you explore some of the most interesting, bizarre and curious items and phenomena that the world has to offer through the eyes and extensive travels of legendary Robert Ripley at the ever so popular Ripley's Believe It or Not! exhibitions, brought to you at the local offering in Grand Prairie and a must stop on your fun list while in the Arlington area.  As you enter the world-renowned Odditorium, your imagination will perform back-flips as you browse 7,000 square feet of oddities, 12 galleries of uniqueness, a 7D Moving Theater, the Mirror Maze, tons of hands-on interactives, the delicious sweet Candy Factory, meet the stars at Louis Tussauds Palace of Wax as you walk through their wickedly spinning vortex tunnel. You'll have a blast, believe it or not!

Skating is a great way to get some exercise while having a lot of fun with a date, or the whole family. This is an enjoyable experience, no matter what the skill level is. Arlington Skatium offers a friendly and safe recreation environment in which to skate (or learn how). Skate rental is available as well as a rest area and a place to enjoy some concessions before you get back out on the rink for more fun.
