Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts presents more than 50 free outdoor concerts a year in Downtown Arlington across from City Hall with a broad-based performance calendar of professional music artists including international, jazz, home-grown Texas Country and trail-blazing Indie artists. The Levitt spotlights and gives prominence to original artists many of whom have become Grammy Award winners.  Over 100,000 make their way to the Levitt Pavilion each year and in addition to enjoying the freshest sounds, the real focus is about building community as families, school groups, neighborhoods and people from all parts of the area to join side-by-side in a safe, fun, casual atmosphere to enjoy live music together. Come out and see what the buzz is all about at Brickhouse Lounge in East Arlington, the Grown Folks Playground. Here you will find an exciting dance and nightclub serving American and Soul Food with plenty of parking and live entertainment from local artists, valet service, free reservations and never a cover. The BH Lounge provides excellent and fun-loving game nights including Spades and Dominoes, Texas Hold "em, Chess and Backgammon and UNO. You'll also find lively specialty nights such as Retro Fridays, Ladies Nights including free Line Dance and Chicago Steppin' dance lessons with local well-known pros. If you've got a future scientist in the family, or even if you and your brood just love stargazing, then a trip to the Planetarium at UT Arlington will prove to be the perfect intergalactic adventure. The out-of-this-world tool makes it possible to get an unbelievably close view of various stars and planets through their highly-powered telescope that is projected onscreen in the 165-seat viewing area. Also, the dome animation show is absolutely stunning. The Planetarium at UT Arlington does an excellent job of bringing the adventure of outer space up close for you and your family to discover and learn.
