There are plenty of marina rental stores that offer ski boats, cruisers, cigarettes, and mansion-like houseboats for weekend warriors. There are dozens of smaller parks along the banks of the lake that provide plenty of opportunities for diving and parasailing. Fishing enthusiasts will appreciate easy access to some of the best fishing spots along Lake Travis. The Parks Department regularly stocks the lake with largemouth bass, Guadalupe bass, white bass, striped bass, catfish, and sunfish.

Encounter The Scottish Rite Children's Theater, known as Austin's oldest live theater venue, where you can experience high-quality productions that showcase the traditional theater lifestyle, period costumes, and hand-painted backdrops that were used during the late 1800s. The original plays are from well-known children's fairy tales with a modern twist, which is written to be interactive with the children in the audience and include positive life lessons. Throughout each play, children are encouraged to help the hero defeat the villain and participate in the fun.

Dedicated in 1971, the Lyndon B. Johnson Library & Museum chronicles the 36th U.S. President's contribution to civil rights and education in photographs, letters, official documents, and exhibits. While many of the documents and letters were written by Johnson himself, others were written by colleagues and friends to describe an engaging man who was an underrated orator and a popular politician, whose seemingly low-key demeanor often overshadowed his many ground-breaking accomplishments in public service.
