The Cathedral of Junk is in the backyard of the artist who created it as a living sculpture, meaning it is always in flux as its creator, owner, and curator, Vince Hanneman, also known as The Junk King continues adding to it. The building is like a Cathedral that has a hollow framework of improvised trusses and wires that are packed with lawn mower wheels, car bumpers, kitchen utensils, ladders, cables, bottles, circuit boards, bicycle parts, brick-a-brack, and a lot of stuff that is unidentifiable.

Soar into spring with one of Austin's longest-running traditions, ABC Kite Fest. Join the day-long activities for all ages, including the traditional kite flying contest, a kite-making workshop, face painting, games, contests, rock walls, moonwalks, MossFest, Kids Club, and the Pet Zone.

Austin Parks Foundation in Barton Creek Greenbelt is a non-profit organization dedicated to the Austin community to enhance their lives by making Austin’s parks better through volunteerism, innovative programming, and financial support. Barton Creek Greenbelt is an urban oasis where the trails provide an opportunity for biking, running, rock climbing, swimming, and hiking. They are known for the annual flagship volunteer event, It’s My Park Day, and Austin City Limits Music Festival at Zilker Metropolitan Park.
