Get ready to join the granddaddy of all local music venues, the Continental Club, where they have enjoyed a coast-to-coast reputation as the premiere club for live music in Austin. This historic live music destination opened its doors as a swanky private supper club, but in the decades since, it's become a mecca for roots, rockabilly, country, swing, rock, and blues music every night of the week. The classic neon sign flashing above the entrance is a landmark on South Congress, and vintage cars and hot rods often line South Congress Avenue in front of the dimly lit club.

Take a walk on the wild side at the Austin Zoo, where you can get up close and personal with over 350 animals representing Texas native wildlife. As you walk through the zoo, check out all the new things you can learn about all the different mammals, birds, primates, reptiles, amphibians, and domestic animals.

Dedicated in 1971, the Lyndon B. Johnson Library & Museum chronicles the 36th U.S. President's contribution to civil rights and education in photographs, letters, official documents, and exhibits. While many of the documents and letters were written by Johnson himself, others were written by colleagues and friends to describe an engaging man who was an underrated orator and a popular politician, whose seemingly low-key demeanor often overshadowed his many ground-breaking accomplishments in public service.
