The majestic mountains surrounding El Paso have earned a six-week festival, known as "Celebration of our Mountains." Events usually begin in October and include bird watching, nature hikes and drives, mountain biking and bat watches. There's even a "Coffee, hot chocolate, muffins, and the tramway" event.
Tee off for one game at Butterfield Trail Golf Club and you will immediately see how the history of the Old West brilliantly merges with plans for the future of El Paso and why this outstanding premier Golf Club has received numerous accolades including being named the #3 municipal course in America by Golfweek Magazine and considered by many in the community as a world-class golf course. Life at Butterfield is open to all for life's special moments and occasions located only a long iron shot from the El Paso International Airport offering an exciting golf adventure in a convenient setting not too far off the beaten path, highlighted by natural sand dunes and native flora and fauna, 55 feet of elevation changes and the drama of vertical transitions, making each hole a "signature hole."
