The diverting mission of El Paso Opera is to bring professional opera productions that are understandable, accessible, and enjoyable to all residents, to sponsor educational programs that will introduce both youth and adult populations to the world of great vocal music. The majestic mountains surrounding El Paso have earned a six-week festival, known as "Celebration of our Mountains." Events usually begin in October and include bird watching, nature hikes and drives, mountain biking and bat watches. There's even a "Coffee, hot chocolate, muffins, and the tramway" event.
