Laredo Horizon Development

Located on Lake Casa Blanca in east Webb County, Lake Casa Blanca International State Park consists of 371 acres of land and 1,650 lake surface acres. A popular vacation spot for winter Texans, the park offers campgrounds, picnic sites with barbecue pits, restroom facilities, two playgrounds, sports courts and fields, a boat ramp and trails. Enjoy time outdoors, swimming, fishing, skiing or mountain biking in the park.

This theater group consists of actors from all over the world, and travels to TAMIU and Laredo Community College for productions. Comparable to the New Orleans Mardi Gras celebration, Laredo's Jamboozie is a colorful festival featuring music, masks and beads. The rowdy celebration fills over 20 blocks downtown and consists of exotic food, dancing, and international performers. Join in the conga line as Jamboozie breathes new life into Laredo's downtown streets.

Take a peek at the history of Laredo and the state of Texas at the Republic of the Rio Grande Museum. Once the home of Bartolomé García, prominent rancher and mayor of Laredo, this restored house displays the style of an 1830s home and contains several artifacts from the time period.
