Learning Tree RGV

The Valley Nature Center is a stunning six-acre park located in the Lower Rio Grande Valley area. It is home to a diverse range of native plants and animals. For over 35 years, the center has been actively transplanting plants from areas reserved for development to increase plant diversity, protect local species, and provide food and habitat for residents and migratory wildlife. The park features a one-mile trail where visitors can stroll and explore various native plant species, including the Sabal Palm Grove, Arroyo Colorado Brush, the Barretal, Coastal Lomas, and the Chihuahuan Thorn Forest. In addition, visitors can observe different species of animals, such as Malachite and Pixie butterflies, Plain Chachalacas, Great Kiskadees, Buff-bellied Hummingbirds, Texas Tortoises, Eastern Cottontail Rabbits, and numerous lizard and amphibian species.

They offer private sailing and catamaran rides to give you and your companions an unforgettable adventure. Their cruising catamaran, "Under Pressure," is a Stiletto 27 that can comfortably accommodate up to six passengers. With its 27-foot length and 14-foot width, the boat is built to ensure safety and provide easy viewing of the surroundings. It is also perfect for finding secluded beaches. This bay is ideal for water sports activities such as kayaking, windsurfing, paddle boarding, kiteboarding, and sailing. The grassy bottom and lack of current make the water crystal clear and perfect for water sports enthusiasts.

The Riverside Club is a unique bar, grill, and particular event center located on the banks of the picturesque Rio Grande River. It is an ideal location for all kinds of parties and special events. You can relax in air-conditioned comfort in a casual atmosphere or enjoy the fresh air on the shaded waterfront patio while enjoying the tropical paradise and a glorious sunset. It's perfect for sipping a cold drink with a friend while unwinding and enjoying the scenic beauty. The club offers four indoor adjoining rooms with seating for up to 300 people and an outside shaded tropical patio along the Rio Grande River that seats many more guests. There is a stage and dance floor both inside and outside. Whether it's a birthday dinner for 20 guests on the Riverside Dreamer boat, a wedding or company Christmas party for 200 in the event center, a non-profit fundraising event, or a corporate picnic of 500 in our outdoor areas, Riverside Club & Special Event Center can accommodate your celebration.
