Enjoy the outdoor beauty of the mountain scene and the atmosphere on the slopes at Brighton Ski Resort. 1,050 acres of accessible terrain include 1,875 vertical feet of skiing, so you'll have plenty of time in the snow. Brighton also has day lodges, equipment rentals, ski and snowboard school, a pub, and much more. You won't find anywhere as obliging as this ski resort.

Utah's Hogle Zoo was founded back in 1931 at the mouth of Emigration Canyon and it remains one of the most visited attractions in Utah. There are over 800 animals in residence. Among the many must-see specimens are the five endangered species of Asian cats, African elephants and white rhinos. And, the little ones will take delight in riding on the Conservation Carousel, featuring hand-painted models of endangered or threatened animals, so it's fun and educational at the same time.

Check out the collection of ancient objects and natural artifacts housed at the Utah Museum of Natural History. The museum is home to various pieces of history like crystallized minerals, bones from the extinct Giant Short-faced Bear, and a fossilized trilobite arthropod, all dating back thousands of years if not more. On your walk through the museum, you'll also see Native American artifacts like moccasins, gloves, bowls, baskets, and more.
