Want to peek into a world where pioneers worked to establish Utah as the state that we know and love? Ever wonder what guns, tools, and even musical instruments from the 1800s looked like? Would you like to see where one of the state's true pioneers, Brigham Young, actually slept? Answers to all these questions and more can be found in the exhibits and attractions at the Daughters of Utah Pioneer Museum.

The old world meets the very contemporary modern day at the Piper Down Pub. From hip hop and urban acts to Texas Hold'em and other entertainment, the diversity and attitude of everyone in the pub will have you coming back time and time again. There's also Throwback Thursday, where the DJ will spin your favorite Old School jams, and don't miss the hilarity of the Geeks Who Drink pub quiz and karaoke on Wednesday nights. Oh, and they've got a great menu and serve a delectable brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. Diverse? You bet...the fans of the Piper Down Pub wouldn't have it any other way.

Utah's Hogle Zoo was founded back in 1931 at the mouth of Emigration Canyon and it remains one of the most visited attractions in Utah. There are over 800 animals in residence. Among the many must-see specimens are the five endangered species of Asian cats, African elephants and white rhinos. And, the little ones will take delight in riding on the Conservation Carousel, featuring hand-painted models of endangered or threatened animals, so it's fun and educational at the same time.
