Utah's Hogle Zoo was founded back in 1931 at the mouth of Emigration Canyon and it remains one of the most visited attractions in Utah. There are over 800 animals in residence. Among the many must-see specimens are the five endangered species of Asian cats, African elephants and white rhinos. And, the little ones will take delight in riding on the Conservation Carousel, featuring hand-painted models of endangered or threatened animals, so it's fun and educational at the same time.
Why not skip the hustle and bustle of staying in a big hotel and opt for the comfort and elegance of the Ellerbeck Mansion Bed and Breakfast? Whether on business or on a romantic getaway, the Ellerbeck is one of Salt Lake's hidden treasures that won't stay a secret for too long.
Red Butte Garden is nature's haven to get you away from all the hustle and bustle, and give you a chance to really commune with nature. The whole family will not only enjoy the deep, clean breaths of air and dazzling scenery, but there is much to explore and learn in this truly enchanting corner of the city.
