Ride up the Space Needle–one of the most distinctive icons in Seattle. Built for the 1962 World´s Fair, the Space Needle features an observation deck over 500 feet above the ground. While you are looking out across the cityscape, be sure to stop by the rotating SkyCity restaurant and gift shop. You can't leave the city without experiencing this attraction.
Since 1963, the Seattle Repertory Theatre has served as Seattle´s flagship theater and an artistic home for countless Seattle actors. One of the largest and most renowned theaters in the United States, SRT puts on a mixture of entertainment that includes classics, recent Broadway hits and cutting-edge new works in its two theater spaces.
Take in the artistic culture of Seattle at the Seattle Art Museum (SAM). This extensive art museum consists of three facilities: the main museum downtown, the Seattle Asian Art Museum on Capitol Hill and the Olympic Sculpture Park on the waterfront. Check out the nearly 25,000 art pieces in its permanent collection.
