Beauty and the Bamboo

Once the hub of Seattle´s maritime activities, the Seattle Waterfront now contains a number of the city´s most popular recreation and retail venues. Meander around the waterfront or seawall, taking in the sights and sounds of the city while you enjoy fine dining or entertainment. You can even ride along on the streetcar, take a cruise or ride on the ferry. You'll find plenty of date destinations, all rolled into one romantic destination.

Prepare to be surprised at The Funhouse. A dive bar by day, this Halloween-themed bar and nightlife destination transforms into a live music venue by night. Listen to the music of great local and national bands, relax on the outside patio, shoot a few basketball hoops or test your pinball skills indoors.

Take a fun photo with the Fremont Troll. This large troll sculpture can be found under the Aurora Bridge–a place the descendants of Scandinavian immigrants believe is a magnet for troll sightings. This unique site is the perfect place to take a tourist or group picture, and is a local favorite.

Ride up the Space Needle–one of the most distinctive icons in Seattle. Built for the 1962 World´s Fair, the Space Needle features an observation deck over 500 feet above the ground. While you are looking out across the cityscape, be sure to stop by the rotating SkyCity restaurant and gift shop. You can't leave the city without experiencing this attraction.
