Once the hub of Seattle´s maritime activities, the Seattle Waterfront now contains a number of the city´s most popular recreation and retail venues. Meander around the waterfront or seawall, taking in the sights and sounds of the city while you enjoy fine dining or entertainment. You can even ride along on the streetcar, take a cruise or ride on the ferry. You'll find plenty of date destinations, all rolled into one romantic destination.
Find that perfect specialty item at the Valley of Roses. This local vintage clothing and accessories store carries local and imported clothing items, costumes, art, vinyls, books and other memorabilia. Whether you are looking for a unique art piece or just something fun to show off to your friends, visit this favorite thrift store.
Ride up the Space Needle–one of the most distinctive icons in Seattle. Built for the 1962 World´s Fair, the Space Needle features an observation deck over 500 feet above the ground. While you are looking out across the cityscape, be sure to stop by the rotating SkyCity restaurant and gift shop. You can't leave the city without experiencing this attraction.
If you visit Seattle University, be sure to show your support for the Seattle Redhawks. These intercollegiate varsity athletic teams consist of eight men´s sports and nine women´s. Part of the NCAA Division I, the Redhawks compete against other universities in baseball, basketball, golf, soccer, swimming and more.
