Walk through the outdoor sculpture garden on a romantic date at the Olympic Sculpture Park, operated by the Seattle Art Museum. This public park features large, contemporary sculptures in both permanent and visiting installations. In addition to admiring the beautiful art and meandering through the green landscaping, you can also take a stroll down the beach.
Don´t feel like leaving the city for a hike or bike? Check out the Burke Gilman Trail. Once an abandoned railroad line, this paved recreation path provides plenty of hiking, biking, jogging and running opportunities for those in the city. It currently extends about 90 miles in Seattle and further throughout King County in Washington.
Have a blast at the Seattle Center! You´ll find plenty to do in this park, arts and entertainment attraction. Visit the Center House, home of the Children´s Museum, or the Pacific Science Center. Ride up to the top of the Space Needle or take a ride on the Seattle Center Monorail. Enjoy music and theater performances or let the kids play at the International Fountain.
Take in the artistic culture of Seattle at the Seattle Art Museum (SAM). This extensive art museum consists of three facilities: the main museum downtown, the Seattle Asian Art Museum on Capitol Hill and the Olympic Sculpture Park on the waterfront. Check out the nearly 25,000 art pieces in its permanent collection.
