Be sure to wear dark blue or neon green when you go watch the Seattle Seahawks play in their home stadium, CenturyLink Field. Part of the NFL since 1976, the Seahawks began as an expansion team and have grown steadily over the years, appearing in several recent playoffs and taking home division and conference championships. Hard-hitting sports action can be found at one of these games.
Once the hub of Seattle´s maritime activities, the Seattle Waterfront now contains a number of the city´s most popular recreation and retail venues. Meander around the waterfront or seawall, taking in the sights and sounds of the city while you enjoy fine dining or entertainment. You can even ride along on the streetcar, take a cruise or ride on the ferry. You'll find plenty of date destinations, all rolled into one romantic destination.
Discover some of the best children´s books at the Elliott Bay Book Company. This large, locally owned Seattle bookstore is filled with over 150,000 titles, featuring the region´s best selection of new books, local-only offerings and a large collection of bargain books. Stop by for readings and book signings by several authors throughout the year.
Have a blast at the Seattle Center! You´ll find plenty to do in this park, arts and entertainment attraction. Visit the Center House, home of the Children´s Museum, or the Pacific Science Center.
