Once the hub of Seattle´s maritime activities, the Seattle Waterfront now contains a number of the city´s most popular recreation and retail venues. Meander around the waterfront or seawall, taking in the sights and sounds of the city while you enjoy fine dining or entertainment. You can even ride along on the streetcar, take a cruise or ride on the ferry. You'll find plenty of date destinations, all rolled into one romantic destination.
Laugh your butt off at Seattle´s premier comedy club. The Comedy Underground is open every night, with special late-night showings for audiences 21 and up on Fridays and Saturdays. See some of the best local stand-up comics, rising stars and celebrity comedians from across the nation for side-splitting comedic entertainment.
If you visit Seattle University, be sure to show your support for the Seattle Redhawks. These intercollegiate varsity athletic teams consist of eight men´s sports and nine women´s. Part of the NCAA Division I, the Redhawks compete against other universities in baseball, basketball, golf, soccer, swimming and more.
Take in the artistic culture of Seattle at the Seattle Art Museum (SAM). This extensive art museum consists of three facilities: the main museum downtown, the Seattle Asian Art Museum on Capitol Hill and the Olympic Sculpture Park on the waterfront. Check out the nearly 25,000 art pieces in its permanent collection.
