Don´t feel like leaving the city for a hike or bike? Check out the Burke Gilman Trail. Once an abandoned railroad line, this paved recreation path provides plenty of hiking, biking, jogging and running opportunities for those in the city. It currently extends about 90 miles in Seattle and further throughout King County in Washington.
The Washington Park Arboretum, also known as the University of Washington Botanic Gardens, offers a nationally renowned living plant collection with over 10,000 specimens. Take a walk through the many distinct gardens, such as the Winter Garden, Japanese Garden, the Shoreline and much more.
