This eight-building complex features several hands-on, permanent exhibits and attractions about ecology, environmental stewardship and nature awareness, as well as many traveling exhibitions. Check out the Laser Dome, the two IMAX theaters, a tropical butterfly house and a planetarium.

Don´t feel like leaving the city for a hike or bike? Check out the Burke Gilman Trail. Once an abandoned railroad line, this paved recreation path provides plenty of hiking, biking, jogging and running opportunities for those in the city. It currently extends about 90 miles in Seattle and further throughout King County in Washington.
