Since Alaska features such an expansive and rustic landscape, it's no wonder that its development and growth owes much to the field of aviation. The Alaska Aviation Museum documents the role that aviation has played in the state's history and growth from 1897 up to the present day. You'll see exhibits and attractions that tell the story of Alaska's WWII fliers, early bush pilots, as well as efforts to preserve vintage aircraft. The museum is located at the largest seaplane facility in the world, and all that space affords the presentation of scale models, restored planes and even a theater that presents films on the various aircraft.

The Phillips 26 Glacier Tour is nearly as formidable and impressive as a glacier itself. This incredible seven-hour tour allows you to get really up close and enjoy views that you may not get on any other tour. The tour travels over 135 miles into Prince William Sound where you will see 26 named glaciers as well as many more unnamed ones. You encounter these glaciers from the vantage point of a three-deck catamaran which allows you to cover many miles of scenery on this incredible, unforgettable tour.

It doesn't matter if you want to watch the show or be in it, the Anchorage Classical Ballet Academy gives you the opportunity to see or be the entertainment. If you have always aspired to learn to dance classical ballet but never knew where to start, the Academy can point you in the right direction. If you have a motorboat, want to go jet skiing or enjoy other water sports, the Mat-Su Valley just north of Anchorage is a highly popular destination to enjoy that brand of aquatic adventure. There is also the very popular Nancy Lakes Recreation Area where you can light out on your own or perhaps take a jet boat tour of the northern and southern parts of Anchorage.
