Mardi Gras in Mobile takes place over the course of two and a half weeks in February. The city has been recognized as the site of the first ever Mardi Gras celebration in 1703, well before it took place in New Orleans. This great family attraction allows you the opportunity to tour two National Historic Landmarks. These are the USS Alabama and Submarine USS Drum as well as an incredible display of 20 rare and historic aircraft. In addition to touring the vessels, you can take a little bit of this history home with you when you buy an item from the gift shop.
