While it's obvious that when you spend time in Mesa, you're in the Arizona desert, that doesn't mean that you can't cool down in a really fun way by experiencing the fun of Salt River Tubing. Drift along the river through the Tonto National Forest to experience some truly amazing and breathtaking scenery. The duration of your tube-oriented adventure varies and depends on where your starting point is as well as the current of the river. Children must be at least eight years old and four feet tall to enjoy this attraction. One convenient fee covers the cost of parking, tube rental and shuttle service. A deposit may be required. Also, don't forget to bring snacks, sunglasses and sunscreen!

Formerly known as the Mesa Symphony Orchestra, this group of highly skilled musicians have been impressing audiences with live music entertainment since they first debuted back in 1956. The symphony undertakes a full schedule of performances throughout the year that not only spotlight the work of classical composers like Bach and Mozart, but they also present various concerts designed to appeal to some of the area's younger music lovers. Under the direction of maestro Cal Stewart Kellogg, that tradition is set to continue for many years to come.

Experience the thrill of World War II and revisit its most daring moments at the Arizona Wing CAF Aviation Museum. This extraordinary museum features real-life airplanes flown during the era, including the main attraction - a fully renovated B-17 bomber named "Sentimental Journey." These aircraft have been lovingly restored to their former glory, and what's more, some of them are still airworthy. Step into the past as you explore vintage artifacts, photographs, and exhibits. The museum's mission is to educate and enthrall current and future generations by showcasing the historic airplanes that shaped American military aviation history.
