Superstition Mountain Museum Superstition Mountain Museum

The Superstition Mountain Museum is in the Superstition Mountain range in Central Arizona. The museum offers visitors an experience of the Old West, focusing on the region's history, Native American people, early western settlers, local geology, and industry. The Museum Gallery features a detailed exploration of the region's history with artifacts, multi-media exhibits, and docent-led tours. Visitors can observe a working display of large-scale model trains and a 100-year-old Cossak 20-stamp ore mill and explore the museum's vast collection of Western movie and television history memorabilia. Annual Desert Woodcarving Show Annual Desert Woodcarving Show

In a world where art continues to be created with the help of a computer, it is refreshing to see artisans who use basic materials to construct something truly memorable. While many of these individuals use various materials to create their art, the ones who are well versed in the practice of woodcarving are the stars whose work is celebrated every year in Mesa at the Annual Desert Woodcarving Show and Sale. This art festival of sorts features wood sculptures by some of the most talented local, regional and national woodcarvers who all convene for this very popular annual event held every February.
