The Tempe Festival of the Arts is a beloved community event that has been taking place in Tempe for over 50 years. It is held annually in early December and early to mid-March and is one of the oldest festivals in the Southwest. The festival has become a point of pride for Tempe and a favorite of residents and visitors. Guests can enjoy art from over 350 artists nationwide, local music, a Kids Block, and various food options on the historic Mill Avenue. This urban fine art festival consistently ranks among the Top 100 Classic & Contemporary Craft Shows in the nation by Sunshine Artist magazine. It has been honored with the prestigious Pinnacle Award from the International Festival and Events Association. The spring and fall events each attract nearly 225,000 visitors to Downtown Tempe throughout a 3-day weekend.

While it's obvious that when you spend time in Mesa, you're in the Arizona desert, that doesn't mean that you can't cool down in a really fun way by experiencing the fun of Salt River Tubing. Drift along the river through the Tonto National Forest to experience some truly amazing and breathtaking scenery. The duration of your tube-oriented adventure varies and depends on where your starting point is as well as the current of the river. Children must be at least eight years old and four feet tall to enjoy this attraction. One convenient fee covers the cost of parking, tube rental and shuttle service. A deposit may be required. Also, don't forget to bring snacks, sunglasses and sunscreen!

The MCC Art Gallery is a vibrant space that showcases works by students, faculty, and guest artists. Equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and technology, the gallery displays traditional and multimedia creations, ceramics, photography, and electronic media. The facility features movable walls on a tracking system for customized layouts and has a shade overhang area to accommodate outdoor artwork. The gallery is also a student learning lab for art management, curating, and gallery design. The highly qualified instructors motivate students to reach their creative potential and sharpen their artistic skills.
