At the historical Peach Festivals of the 1920s! Thanks to the dedication and talents of the special people pictured below and Robert Cherry Evans (Georgia Bob’s grandfather who directed the famous cookings) barbecue was the key celebration at the festivals. We take pride in serving Georgia Bob’s original Brunswick Stew Recipe (though slightly altered) and delicious barbecue introduced at the festivals to our customers today. We Currently Serve and Cater Delicious Barbecue all over Middle GA We are one of many barbecue restaurants around the globe but unlike most we still serve barbecue in that true southern tradition. By southern tradition we simply mean that at GeorgiaBob’s we are preparing our barbecue and food products today as it has been done in the south for over 150 years. Our authenticity is further displayed with our made-from-scratch gourmet chicken salad, our side items, and delicious desserts. All of our recipes evolved from a family heritage and the agriculture of the south. Though we have slightly modified the recipes to support the health conscious, we have not compromised that true southern flavor. We are grateful for heritage passed down to our own “GeorgiaBob” from his grandfather and the support & talents of his dear friends! It is they who made it possible to keep the treasured traditions of the past alive today. Come visit us at Georgia Bob’s Barbecue Company for a simple, relaxing, true southern experience!

Central City Park Central City Park

New York City has Central Park. Not to be outdone, Macon has Central City Park. This lush, expansive swath of greenery is a true haven for city-dwelling nature lovers. While the park is a popular lunch destination for the many nearby cubicle-bound office workers, it also offers urbanites a great place to enjoy some quality time doing fun outdoor activities. Central City Park features various ball fields, basketball courts and big expansive areas to just play and throw the frisbee around. Designated picnic areas, a good variety of playground equipment for the kids, and a winding walking path only add to the park's appeal.
