Macon's Cox Capitol Theatre possesses an impressive cachet of classic style. Originally built in 1916, this is the place where area audiences first experienced movies that featured sound, then known as “talkies.” Things have progressed quite impressively here, as the entertainment venue still screens some of today's most acclaimed art films and import titles with the help of state of the art sound and projection equipment.
