Since 2000, the Movement: Detroit Electronic Music Festival has existed in one incarnation or another on Memorial Day weekend. As its name states, DEMF brings together musicians and DJs who produce some of the best electronic music in the nation. Inside of the awe-inspiring Fisher Building, you’ll find the elaborate Fisher Theatre. This 2,089-seat theater reflects the Art Deco style of the landmark skyscraper with its classic mid-century design. One of Detroit’s oldest live entertainment venues, this historical landmark is still going strong. In fact, it is one of the best places to see a touring Broadway production in the city!
