Just minutes east of downtown, Chandler Park Golf Course offers some of the best greens to play on, especially for beginners. The flat yet subtly contoured greens and gently rolling, tree-lined fairways are very forgiving, yet the sand and grass bunkers provide a fair challenge to golfers trying to make it under par.
Created by men who were passionate about golf, the Country Club of Detroit has been around since 1897. The final golf course, however, was not completed until 1913 by British golf architect Harry S. Colt. In addition to this regulation course, CCD also offers members an excellent 9-hole executive course.
Take your A-game to the Dearborn Hills Golf Course, a public 4-star facility listed in Golf Digest’s “Best Places to Play.” This jewel of a golf course is also Michigan’s oldest municipal course–but don’t let its age trick you! It underwent an extensive renovation in 1991 and has been well maintained ever since, so you can expect amazing scenery as well as a smooth course.

Wonderful for a relaxing game and novice golfers, this 18-hole regulation course offers level greens and fairways but also provides opportunities for more experienced golfers to challenge themselves.
Opened in 1923 as part of the Detroit Park System, the Rouge Park Golf Course meticulously maintained its excellent layout over the decades. Enjoy the beauty of nature, including the Rouge River and local wildlife, as you golf the sloping, hilly terrain and avoid the pitfalls of water hazards and sand bunkers.
Centrally located in the Detroit area, the Western Golf and Country Club provides members with a beautiful golf course set against lovely parkland. Get a good view of the scenery from the elevated tees and greens. Strategically placed ponds, bunkers and doglegs make this course rather demanding but ultimately rewarding.
