Since 2000, the Movement: Detroit Electronic Music Festival has existed in one incarnation or another on Memorial Day weekend. As its name states, DEMF brings together musicians and DJs who produce some of the best electronic music in the nation. Located in Midtown Detroit’s Cultural Center Historic District, this 80,000-square-foot museum has been around since 1928, making it both America’s largest and oldest museum dedicated to a metropolitan history.
