DIY Street Fair
Head over to Ferndale for a fun weekend at the DIY Street Fair. This 2-day, 3-night festival showcases local artists, crafters, businesses, organizations, musicians, restaurants, brewers and others who base their work on creativity and a “do-it-yourself” work ethic. Entrance is free, but bring some cash because you are sure to find something to purchase at the Marketplace, Record Shop, Beer Garden or Restaurant Row.
Belle Isle Park
The most popular park in Detroit, the gigantic Belle Isle Park is actually an entire island. Wonderful for people of all ages and activity levels, this island park has something for everybody. Fox Theatre

Drive out to Taylor for a fun day at the Heritage Park Petting Farm, where guests young and old alike can have fun meeting the friendly, domesticated animals. Head inside the big red barn to interact with all sorts of barnyard life, from goats and ponies to piglets and alpacas.
